Kom Er Bij is an artistic intervention which makes the roof of the monument Roterij Sabbe accessible to the public. The work can be entered and climbed. The inspiration for this work comes from nature and the monument itself. The bevelled corners of the upper part of the building are reminiscent of the structure of honeycombs. The hexagon is one of the few geometric forms found in nature.
The commission is part of an art route in and around the city of Kortijk, Belgium.
