Short video showing my grandmother and me, finishing the coffin she commissioned me to build for her future funeral.
While my grandmother and I work on the interior of the coffin we talk about the making of the coffin, why she gave me the assignment and in the overall, the relation between life and death.
Specially made for and only shown once in the exhibition ‘Some Things Perishable’, curated by Charlott Markus, in NEST, Den Haag.
