#2 (CHICKEN)

A long black power cable hangs from the ceiling, from it a socket and an old-fashioned light bulb to a few millimetres above the ground. There is a stack of 17 A4 papers under the lamp. A tiny stream of water runs over the cable, past the fitting and drips from the lamp onto the paper.

In the Netherlands, on average, about 17 chickens live on one m2. That means one chicken has about the living space the size of an A4 paper.

#2 (CHICKEN) is the second work in a series of works in which I want to provide insight into elements required in the production of animal food for humans.

Sculpture exhibited during ‘Landscape with a Roof’ at Square 28 in Amsterdam.
